Mo' Money!! Mo' Money!!

The scripture declares in Deuteronomy 8:18b that it is God that gives us the power to get wealth. There was a part in this scripture that kept running through my mind this week. It's the part about the 'power' to get wealth. I asked myself, "What kind of power did God give us?" Well let’s start out exploring this by examining the kind of power He didn't give. It’s not a kind of power where lightning comes bolting out of your fingertips or shoots down from the sky and jolts your body. We are not the Avengers! It’s also not the kind of power where we cast spells and conjure up millions out of thin air. We are not witches! This isn't even the kind of power that makes you quicken and jump and shout in church. Don't get it twisted...I love to praise God and I believe in praise but another attribute of the Holy Ghost is also intelligence. Whelp! Let me encourage you!

The kind of power God has given us to get wealth is the power to THINK, CREATE and BUILD! Your wealth is locked in your willingness to use them! Stop waiting on the dramatics you've seen in the movies and on television. This is your LIFE not a show! Even in your dream world; nothing is wrong with dreaming, but in order for a dream to manifest it must be coupled with work, wisdom and a plan. When I was doing a little research for my last blog about missed opportunities, I came across this quote: "Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them." Let me encourage you! Put in the work towards obtaining your wealth! Most of us weren't born with silver spoons in our mouths but God did place a gift inside ALL of us. It's just like a treasure...you have to dig for it!! So, THINK about what you're good at and what you enjoy doing then begin to CREATE and BUILD on it. It may take some time but like my Daddy always says, "Rome wasn't built in a day and Solomon wasn't born wise." It means good things take time. Don't waste another moment settling for what you have when God has given you the POWER to have more! Your wealth lies in YOU! Now come on and shout “I GOT THE POWER!”
