Don't Let Your Dream Die!

Updated: Jun 23, 2019

Dreams! What are they? My personal definition is that they are ideas and desires yearned for privately but must be given life publicly in order to manifest. Now the dreaming part is easy but bringing it to life can be challenging! This is a process that will have you on an emotional/mental rollercoaster with ups and downs, twists and turns. The same mind that had those awesome ideas will be the very same mind thinking it’s not going to happen. It’s a silent war! Well I want to encourage you today. DON’T LET YOUR DREAM DIE! There is a certain mindset possessed by those who have achieved their dreams. It’s nothing deep; it’s very simple. That mindset is…don’t quit! Now you might be fatigued, confused and discouraged; that’s fine. Just don’t quit! You may have paused in your pursuit but don’t quit! Maybe three, six or nine months have passed since you got started, maybe even a year, but don’t quit! Pick that dream back up and keep moving forward! The Bible declares that “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for them that love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT. So whatever your dream is know that God has something even bigger in mind planned for it. But if you quit, you’ll never see it.

Listen! This blog has been in the making on and off and for like five years! It took me about two years to even really embrace it. About that third year I got a laptop for the purpose of creating the blog and didn’t do much else (except surf the internet and watch others pursue and fulfill their dreams). The fourth year is when God gave me the name for the blog and started giving me specific ideas. I hired professionals to take pictures, create logos, etc. Well once I was gung ho, my website developer became pregnant and stopped working for a while (ladies you know how it is). I contemplated doing it myself but I didn’t have the tech savvy skills to pull it off. I was supposed to launch the blog in January of this year but found out the same month that my brother-in-law had cancer. Two months later we were burying him. I said all of that to let you know that I have PAUSED (plenty of times) but I didn’t QUIT! And because I didn’t, today you are finally able to experience some of what has been yearning inside of me. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer!
